<p>An apparatus for coating objects, such as glass bottles, with a synthetic material, includes a nozzle head for spraying the synthetic material. The nozzle head comprises a plurality of nozzles, spaced from each other, from which the synthetic material is ejected in the form of consecutive droplets. The nozzles are controlled individually or in groups. Drive means is provided to produce relative motion between the surface of the object to be coated and the nozzle head. The nozzles are arranged in such a manner, in relation to the direction of the relative motion, that the traces of the synthetic material emerging from adjacent nozzles overlap on the container. The relative motion is matched with the sequence frequency of the droplets in such a manner that the surface areas coated by the droplets emerging consecutively from the same nozzle overlap on the surface of the object.</p> |
