PURPOSE:To provide the titled microbial strain which is a restriction defective strain belonging to Corynebacterium genus, and is useful for the introduction of useful gene originated from oxogenic DNA into a strain belonging to Corynebacterium genus. CONSTITUTION:For exmple, a microbial strain belonging to Corynebacterium genus capable of infecting to phage (e.g. Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC 31833) is used as the mother strain, and is subjected to the mutagenic treatment such as ultraviolet irradiation, particle ray irradiation, etc. to obtain the objective microbial strain such as R19. |
