PURPOSE:To obtain a low temperature at the required level by cooling cold heads of an outer cylinder directly with a refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:Cryo-panels 11-13 for vacuum-exhausting are fitted to cold heads 14, 15 of an outer cylinder 8. An inner cylinder 3 inserted after baking is arranged in the outer cylinder 8. A displacer 2 containing a cold accumulator 1 in it is arranged in the inner cylinder 3. Gaps are provided between the cold heads 18, 19 of the inner cylinder 3 and the cold heads 14, 15 of the outer cylinder 8. These gaps are communicated to the inside of the inner cylinder 3 via vent holes 21, 21 so that a refrigerant cools the cold heads 14, 15 directly.
