PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having excellent resistance to heat, moisture and chemicals, electrical characteristics, flexibility, shelf stability, etc., consisting of a specified thermosetting resin compsn. and a lowly crystalline to non-crystalline thermoplastic satd. polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:A polyfunctional cyanate ester (or prepolymer) contg. at least two cyanato groups per molecule or a prepolymer of said ester with an amine (a), a polyfunctional maleimide (or prepolymer) contg. at least two maleimide groups per molecule or a prepolymer of said maleimide with an amine (b) and optionally thermosetting resin monomer or prepolymer such as epoxy resin (c) are blended together to obtain a thermosetting resin compsn. (A). 10-99pts.wt. component A is blended with 90-1pt.wt. lowly crystalline to non-crystalline thermoplastic satd. polyester resin having a number-average MW of 1,500-25,000 and a hydroxyl value of 1-30mgKOH/g.
