PURPOSE:To obtain a halogen-containing resin composition which is substantially free of chalking and has improved thermal stability and colorability, by adding a lead stabilizer, and dehydroacetic acid or its metal salt to a halogen-containing resin. CONSTITUTION:0.1-10pts.wt. lead stabilizer (e.g. while lead, dibasic lead phosphite or lead stearate) and 0.001-3pts.wt. dehydroacetic acid or its metal salt (e.g. a salt with sodium, calcium, zinc or lead) are added to 100pts.wt. halogen- containing resin. If necessary, an epoxy compound, a plasticizer, an antioxidant, a light stabilizer, a crosslinking agent, pigments, a foaming agent, an antistatic agent, a processing aid, etc. may also be incorporated therein.
