PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a circuit very much when a multitrack thin film head is used for recording with a pulse train current, by flowing a large current due to a recording current to a driving circuit only during the period, when the recording current is flowed to the magnetic head, by an emitter grounded circuit having a magnetic head winding as a load. CONSTITUTION:When a negative voltage is given to the base of a PNP transistor (TR)41 constituting the second current switch 40, the PNP TR41 is made conductive, and a PNP TR42 is made non-conductive, and a current is not flowed out from a magnetic head winding 50. Only when the base of an NPN TR31 of the first current switch 30 has a negative voltage or the base of the PNP TR41 of the second current switch 41 has a positive voltage, a current is flowed to the magnetic head winding 50. Consequently, a signal obtained by inverting a positive pulse train signal and a signal obtained by inverting a negative pulse train signal are applied to bases of the NPN TR31 and the PNP TR41 respectively in case of recording by the pulse train current, thereby flowing the pulse train current to the magnetic head winding 50. |
