BIOLOGICAL SEWAGE TREATMENT APPARATUS

The specification describes an improved apparatus for biological treatment of sewage in which organic matter is suspended in waste liquid. The improvement consists of the addition to the apparatus disclosed in C.P. 1,082,821 of a centrally mounted drive means for the shaft and at least one recirculation scoop attached to rotate with the shaft and being adapted to scoop water from the last compartment of the trough and to discharge it into the settling tank to establish recirculation of waste water from the last compartment into the settling tank.
