PURPOSE:To prevent that all shift passes are invalidated in case a shift operation fault is produced during a shift is passing by using input and output selection circuits which select the inputs and outputs of plural shift pass circuits. CONSTITUTION:Shift pass circuits 1-3 contain plural registers 10-1n, 20-2n and 30-3n respectively. The outputs of circuits 1 and 2 selected by shift-in signal selection circuits 42 and 43 or the inputs given from external shift-in terminals SIN2 and SIN3 are applied as the inputs of circuits 2 and 3. While the input given from an external shift-in terminal SIN1 is applied to the circuit 1. The outputs of circuits 1-3 are applied to a shift-out signal selection circuit 5, and one of these three outputs is selected and delivered. The circuits 42, 43 and 5 are all controlled by a shift pass connection control circuit 6. |
