PURPOSE:To make a liquid crystal display device free from deviation of absorption axis of a polarizing plate by adjusting the polarizing plate of a liquid crystal display panel mechanically. CONSTITUTION:The direction of absorption axis B, B' of a rolllike polarizing plate 21 provided extendably in the direction of the arrow A coincides with the direction of the arrow A. In a laminating process, the liquid crystal display panel 12 is stuck on the polarizing plate 21 while tilting it 45 degrees to the direction A as shown by dotted lines. The width W of the plate 21 is made sufficiently large and the liquid crystal display panel 12 is stuck within the width W. Unnecessary part of the plate 21 is cut off to complete laminating. As the absorption axis of the plate 21 coincides with the direction of extension of the roll, the direction of absorption axis of the plate 21 to the liquid crystal panel 12 can be adjusted mechanically. |
