PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molding having a low coefficient of linear expansion and excellent impact resistance and moldability, by pelletizing a mixture consisting of a vinyl chloride resin, mica, wood meal and a specified modifier and extruding the pellet. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin, 5-30pts. wt. mica having a particle size of 25mu, 5-50pts.wt. wood meal having a particle size of 40-200mu dried at 100 deg.C or above for 30min or longer and 5-20pts.wt. at least one modifier selected from among chlorinated PE, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and an acrylonitrile (or methyl methacrylate)/butadiene/ styrene copolymer is kneaded in a kneader and pelletized. The pellet is fed to a hopper dryer, mixed at 100 deg.C or above for 30min or longer, fed to a vented extruder and extruded under such conditions that the resin temp. is 175 deg.C or below. |
