<p>Vinpocetine citrate and phosphate (I) are new. X = gp. (II) or (III). Vinpocobtained from vincamine by the method given in FR2468605. This is treated in alcoholic or aqueous alcoholic solution with citric acid at 20 deg.C or in aqueous solution with phosphoric acid. Alternatively, the phosphate or some other salt of vinpocetine may be treated with sodium or potassium citrate, to form (I) citrate, or the citrate, or some other salt of vinpocetine may be treated with sodium or potassium phosphate to form the phosphate.</p> |
