PURPOSE:To easily release the lock of a fuel pump by detecting the stop state of the fuel pump due to the biting of a foreign object, reversing it, and positively rotating it when the reverse rotation can be made correctly. CONSTITUTION:The drive terminal of this fuel pump 21 is connected to the output terminal of a control unit 22. The control unit normally outputs the positive power to the drive motor of the fuel pump 21, and also has a function to detect the value of the current flowing through the fuel pump 21 and switch the rotation direction of the drive motor. When the pump bites an foreign object, its rotation is immediately reversed, and when the reverse rotation can be made correctly, the positive rotation is resumed again. Accordingly, the biting of a foreign object can be released.
