PURPOSE:To obtain a molding which has a low coefficient of linear expansion, hardly causes thermal deformation, has excellent impact resistance, appearance, etc. and is suitable for use as a rainwater guttering, etc., by blending a plaster fiber, woodmeal and a specified high-molecular modifier with a vinyl chloride resin and extruding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:5-50pts.wt. plaster fiber, 5-50pts.wt. woodmeal dried at 100 deg.C or above for 30min or longer and 5-20pts.wt. modifier selected from among chlorinated polyethylene, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an acrylonitrile/ butadiene/styrene copolymer and a methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer are mixed with 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin. The mixture is kneaded in a kneader, crushed or pelletized, fed to a hopper dryer, mixed at 100 deg.C or above for 30min or above, fed to a vented extruder and extruded under such conditions that the resin temp. is 175 deg.C or below. |
