PURPOSE:To enable to record images with high quality and high resolution, by providing a film of a chelated metallic compound on a base. CONSTITUTION:A monomolecular film or a film of stacked monomolecular layers of a chelated metallic compound is provided on the base to obtain a recording medium. When the recording medium is irradiated with active energy rays 7 such as UV rays, metallic ions in the chelated metallic compound 3 at the irradiated part are reduced to librate metal atoms 8, which form a recorded image. |
