<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize conversion efficiency by restricting the deterioration for a long period of time by providing a fence around solar cells, having on active region consisting of amorphous semiconductor and placing an air space inside and attaching an insulating material on the rear side of solar cells. SOLUTION: A photocell panel 30 comprises a photocell device 10, base or backing 32, and a capsule 34 for sealing the device 10 inside. The base or backing 32 is located below the device 10 and contacted to the capsule 34 with a wide area and is made of an insulating material having a heat conductivity smaller than 10W/cm deg.C. The capsule 34 is made of a transparent material, completely sealing the device 10 inside and protects it from the external environment. At the time of operation, light hits the panel 30, the device 10 absorbs the light energy, and electric energy and heat are generated. Radiation of the generated heat is restricted by insulation backing 32.</p> |
