PURPOSE:To contact a differential transformer type displacement sensor with an object to be measured, by providing a displacement device of a core made of a ferromagnetic substance below the core and, at the same time, connecting the shaft of core with that of a float by pressure-contacting the upper end of the float shaft with the lower end of the core shaft. CONSTITUTION:A differential transformer type displacement sensor 8 is constituted with a vertical core 4 made of a ferromagnetic substance, primary coil 1 arranged around the core 4, and secondary cores 2 and 3. A displacement device of the core composed of a float 12 and liquid container 11, in which the float 12 is dipped, is provided below the core 4. At the same time, the shaft of the ferromagnetic core 4 and that of the float 12 are allowed to connect with each other by pressure-contacting the upper end of the float 12 shaft with the lower end of the core 4 shaft by means of a contact 15.
