PURPOSE:To make it possible to operate an oar as seeing the direction of the moving boat, by setting each end of the oar operating part and the oar paddle part, at the boat broadside rotatably, and connecting the both ends together through gears. CONSTITUTION:A connecting case 8 is set at the broadside edge 1a of such as a boat, through a supporting member 3, as the case 8 is swayable around a supporting shaft 9. An oar operating part 11 and an oar paddle part 12 are set at the connecting case 8 rotatably through shafts 15, 16. Gears 13, 14 are set at base end parts of the oar operating part 11 and the oar paddle part 12 respectively, as an integrated one body, and both oar parts 11, 12 are connected together through the gears 13, 14. In this way, the oar can be operated as seeing the direction of the moving boat.
