This cable screw union produces a watertight bushing for flat cables, which bushing uses an O-ring as the sealing element (4) and in the case of which cable damage resulting from excessive tightening forces and bending at the clamping point is avoided. The O-ring (4) is in this case arranged between a bevel (9) on an upper moulding (2) and a rounded edge (13) on a lower moulding (3). When the two mouldings are screwed together, the O-ring (4) is compressed, the flat cable (1) is firmly clamped and the bushing opening (12) on the lower moulding (3) is sealed. A deformation of the O-ring (4) is in this case kept within defined limits since, in the tightened state, the upper moulding (2) is supported directly on the lower moulding (3). The flat cable (1) is guided in a positively-locking manner outside the clamping point in the bushing openings (7, 12) in the mouldings (2, 3) so that no bends are possible directly adjacent to the clamping point. <IMAGE> |
