PURPOSE:To enlarge the range of brake torque by providing a drum with a disc, braking the disc by means of plural caliper devices, and controlling the caliper devices by a control unit through a reducing valve connected to a pressurized air source. CONSTITUTION:A liquid caliper device 2 is adapted to brake a disc 1 by liquid pressure, and a gas pressure caliper device 3 is adapted to brake the disc 1 by gas pressure. Further there are provided a reducing valve 4 connected to the devices 2 and 3, a control unit 5 connected to a control opening 4a of the valve 4 and a pressurized air source such as a compressor 6 or the like which is connected to the primary side P of the valve 4 to put pressurized air into the primary side of the valve 4. This arrangement can enlarge the range of a brake torque so as to apply brake torque to various sizes of core wires with one device. |
