PURPOSE:To obtain a copying print head with low cost, miniature in size and excellent in gradation reproducibility by using glass for a base on which an optical sensor array, a signal pulse width converting circuit and printed elements are mounted and forming it at a temperature of <=450 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:Glass is used for the base 11 in a copying print head where the optical sensor array 14, a signal pulse width converting and drive circuit 10, an array 12 of a multi-print means possible for direct dot gradation modulation by a pulse width, a generating section for a pulse width conversion comparison signal including a gamma correction function and a controller 13 are mounted on the base 11, and the mounted elements are formed at a temperature of <=450 deg.C. Since the head is formed by using a low temperature process, the glass is used for the base, the base is inexpensive in comparison with a conventional ceramic base and the effect of improvement of performance of the circuits due to the surface smoothness is attained.
