PURPOSE:To compress a transmission signal band width to nearly a half by companding an alalog signal as it is without being converted into a digital signal. CONSTITUTION:RGB three primary color signals are converted into Y, CW, CN at a matrix 1 and extracted respectively from a low pass filter 13. A PCM signal such as voice or data is added to the Y signal at an adder 14 in the horizontal blanking section and enters a mixer 15. Succeedingly, a TC1 (time compressed integration) signal having a reflected component compressed and mixed with the Y, CW, CN is formed, subject to frequency modulation at an FM modulator 26 via an emphasis circuit 25 with clamp and transmitted. Then a reception signal amplified by an amplifier 28 is demodulated by an FM demodulator 29 and th TC1 base band signal shown in Fig. C is obtained via a de-emphasis circuit 30. The signal (a) is inputted to a timing regenerator 44 in this output, a burst signal component shown in 52 in Fig. C is extracted and the PCM part enters a PCM decoder 43 via a PCM extracting 42 and voice PCM is decoded.
