PURPOSE:To attain ease of forming of a left margin and a right margin by storing a space data to a prescribed area or all areas of a storage means ahead the storage of picture information. CONSTITUTION:An output signal D of an AND gate 26 is inputted to a selection terminal S of a space data generator 27, a space data K (''0'' or ''1'') used for forming the left margin is generated and also the signal D is inputted to the selection terminal S of a strobe switch 28, then a frequency division output of a frequency divider 21 is fed to a strobe terminal ST of a picture data write counter 17. As a result, the space data K is written in a line buffer memory 13 at the first horizontal synchronizing signal HS1 and the space data K is written in a line buffer memory 14 at a next horizontal synchronizing signal HS2. In this case, the address information in writing the space data K is increased to the preset left margin by a left margin set switch 19, and for example, the number is selected from address ''0'' to address (m) of the line buffer memories 13, 14.
