PURPOSE:To rewrite an instruction under the control of a write controller when a change instruction is delivered and to produce easily a special arithmetic instruction, by adding a definition instruction of a specific instruction to one of instruction groups of an additional processor and executing two definition instructions through the additional processor. CONSTITUTION:A basic microprocessor BPU1 of a data processor reads out a program of a main memory MS2 and then decodes it. Then the data processing within the MS2, the data transfer with a magnetic memory 5 and the data transfer with a floating point processor FPU3 are carried out via a bus 8. The FPU3 is provided with the hardware such as a writable control memory WCS4, a microinstruction register 42, a jump destination table memory 12, the address of the memory WCS, input registers 41, 42, etc. Then the definition and instruction of a specific (polynomial operation) instruction are added to one of instruction groups. Then two definition instructions are executed by the FPU3, and a change instruction is rewritten under the control of the memory 4. Thus a special arithmetic instruction can be easily produced.
