摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate instabilities in engine operation, such as, for example, a stop of an engine upon no load operation, by making the cycle period of duty- ratio control of air-fuel ratio shorter than that upon load operation with the use of an electromagnetic device which carries out a duty control of the air-fuel ratio. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 11 controls an air-fuel ratio control means 5 in a carburetor, etc. in accordance with the output of an oxygen sensor 7 and various operating conditions of an engine, that is, the control is a duty-ratio control of the opening and closing of a solenoid valve in an air-fuel ratio control means 5. Meanwhile a clutch 3 is provided with a means 10 for detecting no load condition of the engine, such as, for example, a detector 8 for detecting the disengagement of the clutch, a detector 9 for detecting the neutral operation of a speed change gear 2, etc. Upon no load operation the cycle period of the duty- ratio is made short with the use of control cycle period compensating means 13 so that fine control is made to eliminate instabilities in engine operation.
