PURPOSE:To improve considerably the yield and strength of sintered ore and to reduce the cost by granulating coke breeze and limestone powder, mixing the granules with fine ore and return ore, and granulating and firing the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Coke breezing and limestone powder are put in a granulator, mixed, and garnulated. The granules are mixed with fine ore and return ore, the mixture is granulated through primary and secondary mixers, and the resulting granules are fired. Since limestone powder and coke breeze are granulated beforehand, the formation of calcium ferrite is accelerated to improve considerably the strength of sintered ore.
