PURPOSE:To rapidly vaporize the fuel accumulated at the lower part of a middle cylinder after ignition so as to shorten the rise-up time of the burner by forming the lower end of the side wall of the middle cylinder into a divergent shape. CONSTITUTION:Since the lower end part of the side wall of a middle cylinder 2 is formed into a divergent shape, the recirculation flow of a high temperature entering from the side of an auxiliary combustion cylinder 4 to the inner side completely travels along the side surface of the lower end of the middle cylinder 2. After firing, the fuel accumulated in the lower part of the middle cylinder 2 frequently comes into contact with the recirculation flow of the high temperature, and hence vaporization of the fuel is promoted. As a result, the drift of the fuel at the lower end of the middle cylinder 2, is removed, and hence the time required for removing the accumulation of the fuel at the lower end of the middle cylinder 2, which accumulation is produced after firing, is shortened. Accordingly, the burner is extinguished in the midway of the rise-up, whereby the possibility in which the unburnt gas is discharged is reduced, and hence the gas discharge performance of the burner is improved.
