PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which supplies smoothly a strip by providing a sagging part to the strip in the stage of transferring the strip from a strip supply part to a continuous feed part of a pretreating stage for plating and synchronizing the let-off speed of the strip and the continuous feed speed of the pretreating part for plating. CONSTITUTION:A long-sized strip 12 wound on a reel 10 is let-off by a supply means A and while the strip is fed C continuously, the strip is subjected to a pretreatment for plating. The strip 12 is then fed intermittently and is subjected to partial plating D while the strip 12 is temporarily stopped. The strip 12 is subjected to a post treatment E for plating while the strip is again fed continuously. The treated strip 12 is wound on the reel 14 by a containing means G. A means for changing over the continuous feed and intermittent feed of the strip 12 with each other during this time, that is, a sagging part B is disposed and the tension of the strip 12 is maintained constant by constant tension mechanism H1, H2. The deviation position of the tension rollers of the mechanisms H1, H2 is detected and the speeds of the respective continuous feed parts C, E and the intermittent feed part D are synchronized, by which the strip 12 is partially plated.
