PURPOSE:To inspect the presence or absence of blowholes highly efficiently, by rotating a matter under inspection on its axis, projecting light on the groove at the outer surface of the matter from the directions of 45 deg. on the right and left sides, picking up the image of the groove by three cameras from the directions of the front and 45 deg. in the right and left sides, and recognizing the pattern of the video signals. CONSTITUTION:Rotatable rollers 4-7 support a matter under inspection 1. A riving rubber roller 8 is provided. The material under inspection 1 is rotated at a specified rotary speed. First, second and third cameras 9, 10 and 11 are provided so as to face the directions of the center and 45 deg. on the light and left sides. Unidimensional image sensors are provided in the cameras 9-11. Optical fibers 12 and 13 are provided for the cameras 10 and 11, and the light beams are obliquely projected in the directions of arrows 12' and 13' from light sources. A U shaped groove formed in the matter under inspection 1 is picked up by the cameras 9-11 at the front and on the right and left sides. The surface of the U shaped groove is inspected, and the state such as the presence or absence of blowholes is inspected highly efficiently. |
