In the mfr. of circular saw blades a strip of material which has the thickness and physical properties required in the saw blade is led through a die punching press with several punch stations. At a first station the front edges of a number of non-adjacent teeth are punched with the back edges of the teeth immediately in front. The strip is then fed on to at least one subsequent station where similar edges for the remaining teeth are punched. The outside edges of some or all the teeth are punched at a further station, together with a central and a drive hole.
