PURPOSE:To prevent a turbine casing from being eroded by providing vent steam passages in an annular steam chamber located between the turbine casing and a packing head, and discharging a high pressure steam between a rotor and the packing head to the outside. CONSTITUTION:Vent steam passages 23, 24 are provided in an annular vent steam chamber 21 partitoned between a turbine casing 1 and a packing head 25, whereby a first discharge hole 26 for guiding a vent steam from the shaft seal part of the packing head 25 into the vent steam chamber 21 and a second discharge hole 27 for discharging the vent steam from the vent steam chamber to the outside are communicated with the vent steam passages 23, 24. A high pressure steam so entered the gap between a rotor and the packing head 25 is discharged to the outside whereby the turbine casing 1 can be prevented from being eroded. |
