发明名称 MAGNETIC DISK AND LUBRICATING METHOD THEREOF
摘要 PURPOSE:To form a uniform lubricating layer atop a magnetic disk irrespectively of the operation and stoppage of the disk by providing a continuous film type magnetic recording layer formed with peridocally and regularly distributed grooves on the surface on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An Al disk 1 is attached to a working table 3 for cutting of an electron beam cutting device 2 and an electron beam accelerated to a high voltage is irradiated from an electron beam generator 4 disposed above the table 3 to the surface of the Al disk. A motor 5 is then driven to revolve a revolving shaft 6 below the table 3 so tat the electron beam form spirally grooves 6 having 1.0mum width and several mum depth on the disk 1 from the center thereof at 10mum pitch. The disk 1 formed with the spiral grooves 6 is held by a supporter 8 in the upper part in a vacuum bell-bar 7 by directing downward the surface formed with the grooves. A ''crucible'' 10 contg. gamma-Fe2O3 powder 9 and an electron beam generator 11 are disposed in the bell-jar 7. Aftar the inside of the jar 1 is evacuated, the electron beam is irradiated to the gamma-Fe2O3 powder in the ''crucible'' 10 to evaporate the gamma-Fe2O3 powder thereby forming the vapor deposition film of gamma-Fe2O3 on the surface of the disk 1.
