PURPOSE:To improve flowability, etc., by dispersing and dissolving a raw material mixture which contains a coloring agent, magnetic particles, binding material for pressure fixation, and capsule wall forming resin in an organic solvent, dispersing the mixed solution in dispersion stabilizing liquid and removing the solvent, and further extracting alcohol and drying it. CONSTITUTION:The raw material mixture of either of a coloring agent such as carbon black and coloring pigment and magnetic particles, higher fatty acid or its amide, natural or synthetic wax, and binding material for pressure fixation such as natural or synthetic resin is dispersed and dissolved in a solvent of toluene and this mixed solution is dispersed in a solution containing a dispersion stabilizer such as gum arabic. Then, the toluene is removed by the azeotrope of the solvent of toluene, etc., and water to obtain remaining toner particles by filtration. The toner particles are dispersed in lower alcohol again and alcohol in the toner particles is extracted, filtered, and dried under reduced pressure. Thus, the toner has a uniform particle size distribution, a nearly spherical shape, and superior flowability and resolving power, etc., and neither causes mutual cohesion nor leave an offset at a roll, etc., and fixation is performed under low pressure. |
