PURPOSE:To prevent reaction between aluminum and water from occurring and consequently non-condensable gas such as hydrogen gas or the like from generating by a method wherein the aluminum container of a heat pipe is treated by anodizing in advance and, after that, aqueous working liquid containing triethanolamine is encapsulated and sealed in the container. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum-water type heat pipe consists of an aluminum container 2, onto the inner surface of which grooves are provided, and aqueous working liquid 3, which is encapsulated and sealed in the interior of the container 2. The container 2 is treated by anodizing with sulfuric acid or oxalic acid. After that, aqueous working liquid 3 added with 0.05-2.0wt% of triethanolamine is encapsulated and sealed in the container 2. Because boehmite film is produced by the effect of the triethanolamine added in the aqueous working liquid 3, pinholes and cracks in the alumite film of the container 2 are sealed and repaired, resulting in improving the corrosion resistance of the container 2. Accordingly, no stagnation of non-condensable gas, which is generated by the corrosion reaction between the container 2 and the aqueous working liquid 3, in the vicinity of a condenser end 4 is resulted. |
