The invention concerns a method and a device for securing a heating element 1 in an electrical heating apparatus, where a holder 2 is used which is secured to a part of the heating apparatus and which has cut-outs 3 which serve to hold the heating element. In order that the fixing device should not comprise any loose components and in order for the fixing at the same time to be mechanically durable and not cause unwanted noise, it is proposed according to the invention that the heating element 1 should have one or more recesses 4, 4a which to be engaged in an edge part 3a of a cut-out in the holder, after which the material at the recess is twisted into place by deformation of the material, so that one or more additional edge parts 3c of the cut-out are engaged with appropriate recesses 4 in the heating element. The cut- out 3 is located in a main part 10 of the holder which permits free rocking movement, meaning that the heating element 1 can expand and contract without causing unwanted noise. <IMAGE> |
