A bearing position (10) is located within the longitudinal extension of the casing to support the transport screw (3). The casing at the bearing position is divided and has two adjacent end parts (11,12). An outer support component (16,17) is firmly attached to the one end part (11), and encompasses the other end part (12) at a radial distance from it. A first bearing (21) has outer and inner rings and a fixture extends through a ring-shaped gap (27) sepg. the end parts to connect the one of the bearing rings with the transport screw. The other bearing ring is at least indirectly fitted either externally on the second end part (12) or internally on the outer support component (16,17). Alternative versions of the screw transporter involve instead of the first bearing arrangement with outer and inner rings a bearing assembly with at least three roller bodies and holders, or with a whole slide ring with at least three slide bodies and holders. |
