PURPOSE:To simplify manufacturing process by filling active material in a half- cut monoblock container in which part of current collector is embeded and melt- bonding a pair of containers with a separator interposed between them. CONSTITUTION:A current collector 2, a connector 3 which connects adjacent cells, and a conducting part 3' connecting to terminals are embeded in a side thick part 1' of a half-cut monoblack container 1 when the container is molded. Positive paste 6 and negative paste 7 are filled in each of a pair of containers. A pair of containers 1 are faced with a separator interposed, edges of containers are melt-bonded to fabricate a monoblock lead-acid battery. Therefore, stacking of plates, forming of strap and pole, and insertion of element into a container are eliminated. Manufacturing process is remarkably simplified and cost is reduced. |
