Access device with lock and coded key

A device for access to installations to which access is only allowed to certain persons comprises a lock and a key. The key 10 carries a code and the lock provides a reading location in which the key may be inserted. This location comprises means of reading the code 12 carried by the key when the latter is inserted. The means built into the lock compare a code which is read with a stored reference code. The lock furthermore comprises means 18, 20 of recognising a sequence of successive insertions of the key and for comparison with a stored preset sequence in order to allow access only when the code and the sequence are recognised. <IMAGE>
