PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering in a catalytic characteristic, by a method wherein two or more kinds of different catalytic materials are independently applied to the surfaces of separate fine inorg. powders to form supported fine catalyst powders which are, in turn, applied to the surface of the same molded carrier to be supported by said carrier. CONSTITUTION:Catalytic materials such as a platinum group metal or transition metal oxide are independently applied to the surfaces of separate inorg. fine powders with a particle size of 10mum or less comprising alumina, zirconia, cordierite, magnesia, titanium or thoria to be supported by said fine powders to obtain catalyst fine powders. Said catalyst fine powders are supported by the surface of the same molded carrier such as a honeycomb or cloth substrate. |
