PURPOSE:A polishing agent keeping polish even on the surface of easily flexible rubber or plastic to be easily brought into contact with hands for a long period, slightly causing cracks, comprising a specific cold-setting silicone resin and a specified organic solvent as main components. CONSTITUTION:The desired polishing agent comprising a cold-setting silicone resin [preferably compound shown by the formula (x+y<20,000)] containing a methoxy group and an organic solvent (preferably 1,1,2-trifluoro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane) having <=100 kauributanol value. USE:Suitable as rubber for handrail.
