PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized crusher ideal for use on a small scale by operating successively crushing devices for the side surfaces and the top and bottom surfaces of a can by means of a push rod and connecting rod which are respectively oscillated and moved back and forth by the rotation of a crank disc so that the empty can is easily crushed to a compact lantern shape with small compressive force. CONSTITUTION:An empty can C is placed horizontally on the platen 11 between a movable crushing body 6 and stationary crushing body 8 of a crushing device A for the top and bottom surface of the empty can and a crank disc 2 is rotated toward (a) by a motor. The body 6 held by a connecting rod 4 hardly advances in the stage when a crank pin 3 moves alpha deg.. On the other hand, a push rod 17 penetrated freely pushably back and forth by a spring 16 into the guiding pipe 15 of a crushing device B for the side face of the empty can is pushed toward (b) by a roller 14 on the disc 2 spaced at about 90 deg. toward A from the pin 3. Right and left crushing pawls 18, 19 are then oscillated toward (c), (d) by a lever action, by which the right and left side faces of the can are crushed. The rod 17, etc. return to the home position. Then the disc 2 rotates and the body 6 is advanced by the rod 4 and a connecting body 7, by which the top and bottom surfaces of the can are crushed and a can C1 is formed. |
