PURPOSE:To reduce the output ripple by setting the period of a chopper to 1/2 or lower of the period of a single-phase full-wave rectified power source. CONSTITUTION:An AC single-phase power source 1 is single-phase full-wave rectified by a single-phase full-wave rectifier 10, and applied to a transistor 13. The transistor 13 is operated by a chopping period of 1/2 or lower of the period of the power source by a control unit 20 for forming ON/OFF command 3 in accordance with a control input 4. A flywheel diode 12 operates to prevent an overcurrent from generating due to a loop current from an inductance 90 when the transistor 13 is turned OFF. |
