PURPOSE:To obtain a mobile radio equipment decreasing sufficiently an average consumed current at standby by operating intermittently a phase locked loop (PLL) type frequency synthesizer at the standby of the radio equipment to ensure the sufficient frequency stability even if no PLL loop is formed. CONSTITUTION:A switch 302 is closed and a switch 303 is opened in normal PLL operation. The output of a VCO201 is divided into two, for local oscillation and PLL via a power distributor 202. When a loop cut signal is inputted via a terminal 305 on the other hand, the switch 303 is turned on and a charge/discharge circuit 304 is closed. The loop cut signal is inputted also to the switch 302 via an inverter 306 at the same time and the power supply of a PLL circuit 301 is turned off. Thus, the circuit consumption current is decreased only to the current of the VCO201, since the frequency starts fluctuating, the fluctuation is compensated by the charge/discharge circuit 304. |
