PURPOSE:To reduce the running cost of heat transfer printing by arranging a ribbon cassette housing an ink ribbon to enable printing with the printing position divided into several stages. CONSTITUTION:The width of an ink ribbon 16 is so arranged that a printing in two stages is enabled to make a ribbon cassette housing the ink ribbon 16 usable upside down. It is preferable that a cut into which a thermal head is inserted is provided at the center or on the right or left of the cassette.
