PURPOSE:To obtain a multiple wave with a small sized and inexpensive circuit and high accuracy by combining a waveform distortion circuit having a stable amplification factor and a waveform shaping circuit obtaining a stable threshold value. CONSTITUTION:The titled circuit consists of the waveform distortion circuit 5 distorting regularly the waveform of an input frequency (fs) and the waveform shaping circuit 6 multiplying said output waveform by N times the frequency (fs). A distortion wave shown in Fig. B is obtained from the fundamental wave shown in Fig. A in the circuit 5 by overamplification of an amplifier. In order to obtain a two-multiple wave, e.g., shown in Fig. C from the distorted wave by the waveform shaping circuit 6, a threshold value is set to a P axis in Fig. B, trigger points (d), (e), (h), (i) are obtained and an output is obtained at the trigger points. In order to obtain a three-multiple wave similarly, a threshold value is set to a Q axis and points (a), (b), (c), (f), (g), (j) are used as trigger points.
