PURPOSE:To always stably obtain desired isotope separation capacity, by allowing a gaseous mixture to be separated to flow through an isotope equilibrium device preset to a predetermined temp. and allowing the molecule thereof to reach an quilibrium molecular composition at the above-mentioned temp. CONSTITUTION:The gaseous mixture P1, of which the molecular composition is unknown, exhausted from a nuclear fusion reactor is supplied to a gas temp. setting device 1 to obtain a gaseous mixture P2 with a predetermind temp. while this gaseous mixture P2 is introduced into an isotope equilibrium device 2 to be allowed to directly reach an equilibrium composition at the above-mentioned temp. by rapid exchange action by the action of a catalyst. When the gaseous mixture P3 after passed the isotope equilibrium device 2 is introduced into an isotope separation apparatus 3, the above-mentioned gaseous mixture P3 can be separated into stope molecules on the basis of desired separation capacity. In this case, because the gas temp. setting device 1 is provided in the pre-stage of the isotope equilibrium device 2, isotope exchange reaction can be performed in the isotope equilibrium device 2 with good efficiency and the gaseous mixture P3 can be always supplied to the isotope separation apparatus 3 in a desired molecular composition.
