PURPOSE:To improve the durability without spoiling the exfoliation performance of a form by pressing the periphery of the front edge of a separation claw against the surface of a heat fixing roll, and holding the surface of the heat fixing roll and the front edge of the separation claw in an invariably noncontacting state. CONSTITUTION:The front edge 10a of the exfoliation claw 10 is arranged normally at distance delta from the surface of the heat fixing roll 1, so neither the front edge 10a nor surface wears owing to their contacting. The periphery 10b of the front edge, on the other hand, is in contact with the surface of the heat fixing roll 1, so the contacting part wears inevitably, but there is no edge part at the contacting part of the separation claw 10, thereby suppressing the wear extent small. Consequently, the replacement life of the heat fixing roll 1 is prolonged and the wear of the sharp front edge 10a of the separation claw 10 is almost eliminated, so the replacement life of the claw 10 is prolonged accordingly. |
