PURPOSE:To reduce the leakage of light to the outside of a furnace by accelerating the opening and closing speed of a shutter, by performing the opening and closing of the shutter by such a way that a plurality of sectors are pivotally supported on the same circle at equal intervals in a rotatable manner and revolved to the same direction corresponding to the signal of a detection apparatus. CONSTITUTION:For example, a shutter 5 consists of six sectors 6 each having a fan shape of which the center angle forms 60 deg.. Each sector 6 consists of a circular arc frame at a pivotal part and a thin metal plate coming to an inlet part 1a and is revolved by 60 deg. to the same direction around a shaft 51 by revolving a revolving ring 7 to a clockwise direction to form the inlet 1a. In this light irradiation furnace, when the leading end of an article to be irradiated after painting passes a detector, the shutter 5 is opened to introduce the article to be irradiated into the furnace and, when the trailing end thereof passes the detector, the shutter 5 is closed. Even if the article to be irradiated is impinged to the sectors 6 by the trouble of the detector, the thin plate is damaged and only the damaged plate may be exchanged. |
