Mechanism for emptying and filling tanks particularly for a W.C., characterised by the fact that the filling takes place via a valve with two balls having a specific gravity greater than one, that this valve comprises, at its lower part, a float 19 fitted with a stud 20 which, by being lifted up with the rise in level in the tank, lifts the balls up to cause their wedging as soon as the buoyancy to which it is subject becomes greater than the total weight of the two balls, also characterised by the fact that the fixing inside the tank is carried out by means of two threaded rods, the nuts of which, fitted with washers or suction cups, press against the inside of two parallel walls of the tank. <IMAGE>
