PURPOSE:To improve the operability of an information processor by operating the keys of a key input means set opposite to the screen position in order to shift a cursor to an optional position. CONSTITUTION:When a cursor set at a position as shown in a figure (a) is shifted to a position (b), a cursor shift key 7C is first pushed on a keyboard 7. Then a key WCHI is pushed and a corresponding table is retrieved to produce cursor addresss of X=5 and Y=7 respectively. These addresses are delivered to a display controller 11. Thus the cursor is shifted to the positions of X=5 and Y=7 respectively. However these positions are not equal to the position (b). Thus a key ( ) of a cursor key 7B on the keyboard 7 is pushed five times. Then the cursor can be shifted to the position (b). When the cursor is shifted to a position (c), both the key 7C and a key (7YA) are pushed and then the key ( ) is pushed three times.
