PURPOSE:To obtain a thin solid electrolyte battery capable of high rate discharge by forming a lithium nitride layer by making nitrogen gas react with thin lithium which is pressed on one side of negative lithium. CONSTITUTION:Thin layer lithium 2 is pressed on one side of a negative lithium 1 and nitrogen gas is introduced with the other side masked to bring into contact with the thin lithium at a temperature from room temperature to 150 deg.C and to form lithium nitride 4. Lithium nitride is locally formed at active portions on the surface of lithium 2 and progresses in the direction of the thickness. After the progress of lithium nitride reaches the connection part of lithium 2, the lithium nitride progresses in a horizontal direction and the thin lithium 2 is uniformly converted to lithium nitride 4. Part of lithium nitride progresses in a vertical direction and lithium nitride 4 is slightly formed on the surface of the negative lithium. Therefore, the contact resistance of the negative lithium with lithium nitride solid electrolyte is reduced. |
